More new built homes in the northwest are going to be using solar panels. Interesting video on Shea homes for one, saying they will be putting solar panels on all homes that can use it. Buyers generate cretdits on their electrical bills which will pay for the system in about 20 years. Current cost estimates are $25,000 for the system. These solar systems can cut electrical costs 40-60%. Who couldn't use that?

This is such a good idea. Shea homes deserves all the accolades it receives. It makes sense for every homeowner to look at these options when buying a home and the government should encourage the choices of people who choose to live in a sustainable way.
